Cold Creek Campground On State Route 89, 3 miles south of Sierraville/17 miles north of I-80 at Truckee, Ca. is a USFS facility open from Memorial Day to Halloween. It features drive up camping, dry toilet/outhouses, concrete fire pits with grates, non-potable water, a year round stream. Two miles north, Sierra Valley Gun Club maintains a shooting range with trap, 25 yard pistol and .22; long range rifle shooting. It features 12 spaces, alongside the State Route 89.
